Strips 289-354 (December 18, 1939 to March 2, 1940)
Superman investigates a series of unnatural disasters only to discover saboteurs
at work, leading Clark Kent to go undercover at a corrupt news agency. In short
time he learns that they are agents of another country trying to draw the United
States into war. Can Superman stop them and end the war in time?
Note: Towards the end of this episode, Superman's shield logo becomes a five-sided instead of being a triangle.
