Strips 541-588 (October 7, 1940 to November 30, 1940)
When Lois Lane gets fired from the Planet, she soon finds herself entangled in
an intricate plot by "The Master" to commit dozens of crimes in the financial
center of Metropolis. How will Superman stop the crimes, find out the
identity of "the Master," and still have time to prevent Lois from being framed
for murder?
Notes: First appearance in the dailies of Lex Luthor, referred to only as Luthor
(though from the dialogue in their initial confrontation, Superman has faced
him previously).
