Strips 3339-3477 (September 5, 1949 to February 13, 1950)
After a date with Lois Lane, Clark Kent takes a nap and dreams. He wakes to find that Lois has finally come around, and that she has agreed to marry him. However, when Lois demands that Superman be Clark's best man, how will he manage to be two people at the same time? In addition, Lex Luthor spies the wedding notice in the newspaper, and decides to crash the event. Will Lois and Clark finally get married?
Note: On Oct. 24, 1949, Time Magazine published an article describing this story as a way to rejuvinate the strip for readers who were "getting bored with their comic-strip hero's invulnerability." They described that eventually Lois would have a Superbaby, and that Superman will now face the challenge of coping with "modern man's most intimate problem--namely, marriage?"
