A strange compulsion pulls Superman to the planet Srig, where he learns that through mind control, he has imagined that past year of his life. Zark and Jen-Ru, the rulers of Srig, put Superman back under automatic thought control and force him to build space ships to be used to conquer the universe. Will Superman's will be strong enough to break free?
