P.C. Borkum threatened Clark after he tried to expose his smuggling operations. The next day, unknown to Clark, a waiter dropped fatal poison into his water glass at a restaurant. A toxicologist at the adjacent table pronounced that Clark would be dead within the week. Will he be able to prove Borkum was behind the attempted murder, and will Superman's identity be revealed when Clark doesn't die from the poison?
