Strips 273-276 (January 21, 1945 to February 11, 1945)
Miss Wendy Worth writes to Superman's Service for Servicemen, asking for help with a promise she made to two servicemen. Wendy said that she would become engaged to whichever man brought home a medal during the war. However, Bill is in the air forces and Ted is in the infantry, and Wendy did not realize earlier that it is easier to win a medal in the air. Will Superman be able to solve this dilemma?
Notes: In strip #274 it states that Flyer Bill "completed thirty tough missions," yet in strip #275 it says he flew forty missions.
