With the war's end, the army's M.P.s left Boom Town, whose population had grown enormously after the construction of a defense plant which assisted the war effort. Now the local police force compromised of young rookies is too small to deal with the criminal element. When Metropolis's famed specialist chief is gunned down en route to training the police of Boom Town, who could possibly take his place?
